Child Burial
Description
Ca. 2nd century A.D. burial from Metsamor, Armenia. The 9-10 years-old girl’s grave was discovered during the excavation of the “lower-town” in 2018, which apparently after the abandonment of the settlement served as a burial ground for the local community. The tomb was richly equipped with jewelry (beads, ring, hairpin), glass vessels (lachrymatory) and a small clay vessel.
