The first international conference dedicated to Metsamor was held on the 28th September. The participants were presenting their research that encompassed the site itself and the region throughout all chronological periods. The conference was chaired by Ara Tarverdyan, the director of the Armenian Ministry of Culture’s „service for the protection of historical environment and cultural museum reservations”. Our team was represented by Prof. Krzysztof Jakubiak, Mateusz Iskra, Marek Truszkowski and Otto Bagi. Their lectures offered a broader insight into the work of the project along with some more specific research questions regarding the spatial distribution of small finds across the excavated portion of the site, and the wider landscape of Metsamor. The conference papers will be published in the short future by the department of Mr Tarverdyan.
